We believe the American Church is in need of reformation and restoration. We are committed to working for reformation in the following four areas:
- Presence of God - God has called us to be people of His Presence. Our gatherings are to honor God and worship Him in His Presence, not for us to be entertained.
- Establishing Biblical Community - God has not called us to be religious consumers who attend programs and critique the church. We are all called to be a vital part of the Body of Christ, contributing to the rest of the Church with our unique gifts and walking in close supportive friendship with one another.
- Walking in Discipleship - Every person who comes to know Jesus Christ is called to become a disciple. A disciple is a person who is growing daily in the knowledge of the Word, in the development of Godly character, and in the gifts and talents God has given each to serve one another.
- Restoring an understanding of true repentance - In seeking to "make the Gospel relevant," the post-modern Church has sought to avoid talking about repentance of sin. Repentance means to turn 180 degrees from rebellion against God and to replace that rebellion with new patterns of obedience to God. For more regarding repentance see Freedom Prayer.
